Details

Defaults to either 3 or 1, depending on if a room guest or not.

With some browsers the viewer AND the listener of a stream both need to enable Stereo for two-channel audio to function. Not all though; some just need the viewer to enable it.

This is generally for advanced users who understand the consequences of enabling this.

Enabling this could reduce your audio mic level to be quite low, and it can also introduce audio-feedback if in a group call without headphones.

You can customize things further using &aec, &ag, &dn, &ab and &mono.

If stereo=1 is enabled:

  • It disables all audio enhancements and effects when publishing.

  • Turns off audio normalization or auto-gain (default it is on) when publishing

  • Turns off noise-cancellation (default it is on) when publishing

  • Turns off echo-cancellation (default it is on) when publishing

  • Enables higher audio bitrate playback (up to 256-kbps) when listening (viewing)

If the parameter is used, but left without a value, it is treated as a special case (either 1 or 3). Please see follow link for more info: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1onfIh1hNR1Gh_mthkhmezzWNUMYKMGKPrwx7T428_hc/edit?usp=sharing
